Is Wordpress Safety Of Any Significance To You?

I have had two WordPress blogs hacked into in the past. That was at a time when I was doing very little internet marketing, and until I found time to address the situation (months later), these sites were penalised in the search engines. They were not removed, but the rankings were reduced.

Installing the fix hacked wordpress Scan plugin alert you that you may have missed, and will check all this for you. Additionally, it will tell you that a user named"admin" exists. Needless to say, that is your user name. If you wish you can follow a link and find instructions for changing that title. I believe that there is a strong password good protection, and there have been no successful attacks on the blogs that I run, since I followed these steps.

Safeguard your login credentials - Do not keep your login credentials where a hacker could find them. Store them off, as well as offline. Roboform you can find out more is good for protecting them, too. Food for thought!

There is a section of config-sample.php that is headed"Authentication Unique Keys." There are four definitions which appear within the block. There's a hyperlink inside that section of code. You want to enter that link into your browser, copy the contents which you get back, and then replace the keys you have with the unique, pseudo-random keys offered by the website. This makes it harder for attackers to automatically create a"logged-in" cookie for your website.

Now it's time to sign up for a Facebook account and use this individual's name and identity to present as your friend. Once I get it all set up, I'll be emailing you posing as your friend and asking you to be friends with me on Facebook (or Twitter, or whichever societal site).

However, I recommend that you set up the Login LockDown plugin instead of any.htaccess controls. From being permitted after three failed login attempts from a certain IP address for an hour login requests will stop. You may still access your panel while away from your workplace, and yet you still have great protection against hackers if you do that.
